Auditions
How It Works
Whether you are a seasoned performer or hoping to take your first steps on stage, Cambrian Players welcomes you!
During your audition, you may be provided with a selection of monologues to choose from. This allows the director to hear you and picture where you may fit in the script.
You’ll then have an opportunity for a “cold read” (no preparation required!) of a section of the show script. You may be paired with other auditionees, or volunteer readers, or even the stage manager, to read a few pages of dialogue.

Though the majority of the roles in the play are high school students, casting will be conducted with some age-flexibility. Selections will be made on the basis of audition performance, best fit for specific roles, and fit within the context of an adolescent team. Performers aged 12-30 are encouraged to audition.
Actors of all ethnic/cultural/sexual/gender identities are invited to audition. Consideration will be given to gender blind casting where gender is not essential to the character being portrayed. Prior acting experience is helpful but not essential.
