DIRECT WITH CAMBRIAN

Cambrian Players is always looking for new or returning talent to help bring stories to the stage. We look for passionate, innovative individuals to steer a cast and crew to bring their vision to life. Each spring, Cambrian Players seeks expressions of interest from those who would like to direct a play for next season. 

Currently, we are in a review process for our next season and submissions are closed.

MAINSTAGE

Cambrian Players Mainstage productions are fully produced, costumed and staged and run for a longer period of time.  These shows featured a wide variety of topics but are generally more commercial in nature. 

Mainstage Productions

• Our season consists of three full scripted productions.
• Our typical rehearsal period is two and a half months from read-through to stage.
• Our Mainstage shows run for eight nights, and occasionally a matinee.
• Cambrian engages experienced directors to undertake Mainstage productions.

GREEN ROOM

Green Room is a place to play! Where Cambrian Players venture into experimental and modern offerings. Immerse yourself in challenging stories and thought-provoking social commentary that is sometimes challenging, but always a fun place to explore new ideas, with a wide and diverse mixture of plays.

Green Room productions involve:

• More focus on the text and less on the production
• Staged reading (scripts in hand) with a shorter rehearsal period
• One night only to bring to life a play that might be more experimental, or outside the box
• Less experienced directors may get their feet wet in the Green Room
