Cast

Cara O'Brien The Snow Queen Cara is thrilled to be in her first Cambrian Players show with a fabulous cast and crew! Shout out to her wonderful friends and family for their encouragement and loving husband, Sven for feeding and supporting her. And thanks to all of you in the audience sharing this whimsical experience with us!
Dani Winters Gerda Dani is a longtime lover of musical theatre and the performing arts. She has spent many years performing, singing, and dancing with many production companies (Badanai Theatre, Paramount Live, Opera Northwest) and is so excited to perform in her very first lead role. She is so very excited for everyone to see all the talent and effort she and her co-stars (and production team!) have put into this beautiful story they have worked so hard to bring to life. She wants to give a special thanks to her partner, Gabriel, and her best friends, Elliot and Rjay, for all their love, support, and encouragement. @daniwinterzxo
Teoman Amishev Cei / Prince Fred Excited to join Cambrian Players for the first time! Having experienced the stage previously, every new production adds to Teoman's passion. He is thrilled to embark on this new journey with The Snow Queen and excited to share this with you and to contribute to the Cambrian Players community! @ttomato_king
Jerry Silen The Storyteller 28 years ago, Jerry met a girl. She was involved with theatre. Now he had a sudden interest in theatre. Today, she is Jerry's beautiful wife, and they are both doing theatre. I love you Cheryl. Jerry showed up at his first set build with a full carpenters belt and tools, not sure what to expect, but wanting to make a good impression. It must have worked, because here he is, taking the lead on building numerous sets for Cambrian Players.
Ginette Roy Grandma / Ms. D Ginette is thrilled to be back on stage with such a talented bunch. She was most recently seen playing Hannah in Cambrian Players' production of Little Women as well as Vanessa in Four Weddings and an Elvis. Having flunked retirement, she has recently started a new gig as a medical interpreter. She would like to thank Gerald for his support and his soup.
Austin Campbell John / Daffodil / Bae Austin is new to the Cambrian Players scene! He loves theatre and being the ultimate cat-dad. Working with such a remarkably kind, talented cast and crew has been a major highlight for him. He'd like to thank his fiancée, Siobhan, and his furry son, Tux, for keeping him (mostly) sane. @afrotastic27
Charlotte Johnston Elisa / Snow Drop / Princess Frederica This is Charlotte's first production with Cambrian Players, having recently made her stage debut with McMaster's Thespian Company. She also enjoys playing the trumpet with the Thunder Bay Community Band. She is excited to be part of this fun and playful fairytale! @charlo.john
Ariana McLean Mrs. Fyn / Robber Mother Ariana is happy to return to Cambrian Players in The Snow Queen and looks forward to bringing this whimsical story to life. She would like to thank her partner Cole, her friends, family, and theatre companions for their love and support. @pepperann.pepperann
Rory Ryan Mr. Oversku Can you say "odd duck"? That's Rory... been around a long time. Enjoying the journey. Super stoked to exercise his acting chops with this young crew of up-and-comers. All the best, my friends.
Ben Albert Bindweed / JJ / Laughing Robber Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ben (27) has always had a passion for theatre and performing. Since taking a break from the main stage for several years after high school, Ben was drawn to Cambrian's fun, loving, and accepting community. First with Improv, then with the recent Green Room reading of Is My Microphone On? and now in his second main stage show; Ben can't wait to share The Snow Queen's whimsical adventure with friends, family and our community.
Katie Silen Troll / Rose / Robber Girl Katie is excited to be back on stage with Cambrian Players. She's been doing theatre since she was 7. Katie has most recently been seen in the Green Room show, Is My Microphone On?. She'd like to thank all the wonderful cast and crew!
Mackenzie Dillon Troll / Rose / Lil Mackenzie is a 2nd year Chemistry major at Lakehead University and has been involved in local theatre in Thunder Bay since she was 11. This is her third show with Cambrian Players following Alice in Wonderland in spring of 2022 and A Christmas Carol this past December. @call.me_kenzie
Nico Harding Troll / Rose Nico is no stranger to the stage, they have been in theatre since the age of twelve. This will be her second time working with Cambrian players, having previously played Jo March in Little Women. Nico also performs in drag as Mr Seren Tonin and has recently taken up burlesque. @nico_harding_

Crew

Jessica Graham Director Jessica Graham is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to direct her first play with Cambrian! She has been involved in stage productions since she was able to read and has volunteered with Rogue Productions and Cambrian Players for over a decade. Theatre is her first love, even though she now works and teaches in the film industry. Finally having the time to dive in head first again has brought Jessica tremendous joy, and she's thankful for the passionate cast and crew that have caught her with open arms. She would like to thank her fiancé Ryan for his constant supply of love and chocolate through this process.
Nathalie Roy Stage Manager Nathalie, a veteran Stage Manager is having a great time working with this wonderful team of talented actors and crew. She last stage managed Treasure Island and Love Sick for Cambrian. Thank you Rory for your support.
Josée Lauzon Assistant Stage Manager Josée Lauzon is a long-time Stage Manager and theatre volunteer; you can usually find her backstage or working in the background somewhere. Recent shows include A Christmas Carol & Momologues 2 with Cambrian Players; Something Rotten and The Play that goes Wrong with Badanai Theatre; as well as the 10x10 Showcase at Magnus Theatre.
Scott Legros Sound Design Scott is a very tired man who enjoys finding noises to enhance experiences.
Matthew Goertz Lighting Design
Julie MacCoy Costume Design Julie is excited to be back dressing another fabulous cast! Some memorable casts she has costumed over the years are: Death of A Salesman, Treasure Island, and Little Women at Cambrian Players, and Spring Awakening with Applauze Productions. Special thanks to Jess for letting me run with your ideas and visions!
Don McMahon Set Design Don is really honoured to take on the role of Set Designer for The Snow Queen. But, here's the big question: will he be able to keep his dining room table clear of projects for the production? Honestly? Not likely. Hope you enjoy the show!
